About FWS
Finding Workable Solutions Inc is predominantly a Commonwealth funded organization providing assistance to job seekers with a disadvantage and/or disability; we maintain a strong focus in rural areas of SA. We take great pride in the fact that we have been providing employment and vocational training since 1989 offering a flexible and professional approach to Employment Services while maintaining a strong client focus.
FWS is primarily a specialist employment service being part of the Disability Employment Services offering the Job Services Australia program providing tailored employment programs and services for job seekers who have barriers to employment. We would like to become a one stop shop assisting disadvantaged rural job seekers to find and maintain employment. We have gained positive employment outcomes for job seekers of all ages.
FWS places high emphasis on retaining and building strong and sustainable relationships with employers, business houses and the job seeker in achieving successful outcomes. FWS can help an employer access a number of schemes which make it easier to employ one of our clients.
FWS also has two Australian Disability Enterprises and provide employment for about 65 people with a disability in a number of businesses. The businesses include Recycling Depots at Goolwa and Mt Barker; In Stitches where we make a number of sewn products; Car Cleaning; Grounds Maintenance; Document Destruction and accredited Firewood Sales.
FWS offers a unique and internal advocacy service called Client Services. This dedicated team assists Job Seekers and other FWS clients to overcome barriers that may prevent them from finding and maintaining employment such as legal, financial or housing issues. We recognize that if circumstances outside of employment are stable for a job seeker then that person has the best chance of succeeding in employment.
FWS likes to walk the talk and actively promote diversity in the workplace by employing people with a disability throughout the organization in areas such as administration, employment co-ordination and management.
