About us

FWS is a not-for-profit community organisation operating since 1989.

FWS was formed to provided supported employment for a small group of individuals wanted to go to work just like everyone else. They provided a gardening and firewood service to the local community and those businesses still exist today.

Today FWS is an experienced organisation providing intervention and support to people with disabilities and disadvantage across South Australia to create independence both socially and economically.

FWS has a number of businesses referred to as ‘Social Enterprises’. They are businesses that trade to intentionally tackle social problems, improve communities, provide people with access to employment and training, or help the environment. Our innovative enterprises have qualified supervisors for supported employment opportunities for people with disabilities and provide great solutions for our communities.
