Continuous Improvement Committee (CIC)

The Continuous Improvement Committee is a group of FWS staff and clients who meet 6-8 times per year to help improve all aspects of the organisation.

As FWS has grown, staff members have worked hard to improve service delivery and management practices. We have been recognised nationally and in South Australia as a provider of high quality employment services.

But there is always room for improvement!

What does it do?

To make sure FWS is always improving, the Continuous Improvement Committee gathers ideas and feedback from staff and clients. Ideas might come from our biennial client survey, our staff survey or from day-to-day suggestions that are passed on to the committee.

The Continuous Improvement Committee encourages clients to become members of the committee. Ideally, committee members will include clients from Employment Services and our Australian Disability Enterprises.

One of the committee’s main activities is discussing and recommending ideas for the FWS Continuous Improvement Action Plan. This plan sets goals for FWS to improve in areas such as:

  • Service Delivery
  • Management of the Organisation
  • Staff & Client satisfaction
  • Occupational Health & Safety
  • Compliance with the National Disability Services Standards

The Continuous Improvement Committee also develops and reviews a number of FWS policies and makes recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer for new or improved policies and procedures.

How do I join?

Persons interested in becoming a member can ask any FWS staff for further information or assistance. They will put you in contact with the committee and help you to express an interest in becoming a member.
