HELP FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Your Job Services Australia provider will assess people you need to grow your business and will work closely with you to find them, particularly if you are in an industry or sector experiencing skills shortages.

Job Services Australia providers are organization contracted by the Australian Government to provide employment services and are available across Australia in more than 2000 locations. They can connect you to the right employees with the skills and training.

HOW IT WORKS

Job Services Australia works with employers at the local level to identify the skills required, and match these needs with appropriately trained and work-ready job seekers.

It provides tailored assistance to job seekers and can help job seekers gain the sills and training required for industry.

EMPLOYERS BROKERS

One of the additional features of Job Services Australia is the new specialist Employer Brokers which will work with employment services and training providers to better understand the needs of individual employers, or groups of employers inspecific industries or regions. Employer Brokers will provide practical assistance to employers facing skills labour shortages.

Your organization may also be able to participate in activities set up by the Employer Brokers in your local area. These projects can provide labour skills solutions and other assistance such as retention strategies.

SAVE TIME AND MONEY

Your Job Services Australia provider may also be able to help your business with pre-vocational and vocational education and training, wage subsidies and other support to help meet your business needs.

WORK EXPERIENCE OPPORTUNITES

Under Job Services Australia, Work Experience will enable job seekers to gain the work-ready skills that employers nees. Training and Work Experience will occur at the same time, and will be an integral part of the overall plan for a sob seek’s future.

PRODUCTIVITY PLACES PROGRAM

The Productivity Places Program is designed to help both job seekers and existing workers develop skills that industry needs. The Program provides nationally-recognised qualifications.

The Productivity Places Program also has places for workers made redundant on and after 24 February 2009 who immediately become eligible to access training places. This will help them develop their skills in areas of eed and to become work ready for new opportunities.

INDIGENOUS STAFF

The Australian Government has reformed the Indigenous Employment Program to provide more support for employers to recruit and retain more Indigenous Australians. This assistance includes access to training and wage subsidies.
