FWS Resource Recovery Centres

In 2008 Finding Workable Solutions Inc. established two resource recovery centres to conserve our resources and provide employment for local people.

Goolwa Salvage & Save opened in March 2008 and is situated within the Alexandrina Council, Goolwa Waste Depot, on the Port Elliot Road just outside of the township on the way to Middleton.

Windmill Hill Salvage & Save opened in May 2008 and is located in the Mt Barker industrial area, next to the Windmill Transfer Station, on the Hahndorf Road.

These social enterprises have provided over 40 long term employment positions for local people with a disability or disadvantage.

The salvage yards sell a variety of recycled electrical, household, furniture, tools, bric a brac, books and building materials.

Recycling conserves our resources and assists with the conservation of our natural assets by reducing the amount of recoverable products going into landfill.

FWS also provides a hard waste pick up service which collects the quality 2nd hand products from homes or businesses, at no charge, dependent on the distance travelled and the type of product donated.
